In an effort to bring you more fun and easily digestible material, I'm going to be conducting interviews with different people from around my community and posting it on my blog and YouTube channel.

And of course I had to start this new series with my counterpart and closest Ghanaian friend, Torgbui Akagla II. He was the one who first greeted me in Kumasi and told me about my new home a year ago this week! Ever since that day he has been everything I could ask for from a contact person and more. I owe much of my success and happiness in Ghana to this man.

In this discussion, we talk about his upbringing and how he became a chief, why they requested a Peace Corps Volunteer, what he thinks/knows about America and what he'd like Americans to know about Ghana and Ghanaians.

Torgbui and I only scratch the surface and there was so much that he said that deserved more time. So while I have so many more people I want to expose my readers to, I will definitely be making an effort to chat with him on camera again in the near future. So if there is anything specific you'd like me to ask him or if there are certain types of people you'd like to hear me talk with, definitely send me a message with your suggestion(s)!
